Today I need to think of ways of promoting my new business. Its going to be a least 2 weeks for my website to be up and running. Perhaps if I post up my details for South West Brides, Google will pick it up, so here goes.... Caroline Fricker Couture is open for Business and is looking forward to designing for some beautiful Brides, last minute Brides are welcome. New beginings!

What a week, so busy flying around the countryside of North Devon getting ready and finally shooting some amazing images for my new website. Here is just one of many.... My beautiful model Racheal has made all my hard work come to life! Gold embroidered organza bodice, worn with a silk Taffeta A-line skirt and hand tied bow at the back. This image is simply stunning. Hope you like the flowers too! So much went into this very exciting day all made possible by my amazing friends and Familyxx

Busy Busy..... Nearly all the Gowns are pressed ready for the big shoot on Monday, and I am hunting down props, I have ordered some amazing roses too. I am so grateful to Sarah as I know she has been sweeping and reorganising her amazing Farm over at Upcott, there are some beautiful shots to be had there, it is also an incredible tranquil setting so I do hope we are all calm on the day....
Harry my son is playing at Gold Coast on Friday evening, he is a very talented musician and we are all so proud of him. Gold Coast is a music /surf festival here in North Devon by the sea, and people come from all over the country for the weekend. My daughter Izy is also coming home from uni too so things are looking good!

An Old Favorite

This dress is an old favorite of mine, and one that set me on the way in the Bridal Industry. I won an award with it for "New Designer in the Bridal Industry". I had a full page with this photo in Brides Magazine.... and many orders followed. It is made in a Champagne Silk Dupion with a very flattering Fichu neckline, which is adorned with handmade organza roses. The skirt was two tiered, cut like a waterfall on one side falling across the underskirt, this too had organza roses sewn along the edge. I think now its time to update it.... watch this space!

Well, what a hectic few days. I had a wonderful time with my model Racheal, She looked beautiful and made my Gowns come alive, just a few alterations to do!I must now plan the flowers with the expert advice of my dear friend Annie , who is so clever and knows just what I'm after! Find the perfect photo location, which will be here at my house and over the hill at Upcott , thank you Sarah and Ben! Also I need the hair dressed, so that has to be Karen. And last but not least Photographer, of course my husband William. So watch out North Devon Caroline Fricker Couture's website is on its way!!

I am getting ready for a big day tomorrow as I have a beautiful model/ballerina coming to try on my dresses ready for a photo shoot. I'm not sure which dress to put her in first, it may be this one.... Silk Taffeta skirt with a very fitted bodice made in a gold embroidered Organza, laced at the back and finished with a hand tied bow. I think this could be the one!

Its a Cats life!

Its a Cats life! I left Esme at lunch time and she was still in the same position at 6 in the evening...ahh!

Half term this week so I think a week off is on the menu and a few visits to the beach! This colour scheme is quite inspirational, I will think about it while I'm looking out to sea.

Alice is keen to get going, so I'll leave Esme asleep on a pile of silk dreaming of her hectic night of catching mice!
